Flipped and Blended Learning - Q&A

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

A Chemistry teacher from CR Kennedy (Julie Buerman) who is fully Flipped and a Biology Teacher from Waverly Shell Rock who is fully Blended will describe the processes they took to convert their classrooms. After which, they will take questions.

Thinking about making the switch? Then this is the session to attend!

Julie Bush

AP Chemistry/Chemistry Teacher, Kennedy High School
I am in my third year of teaching AP Chemistry and have been using iPads and tablets for all three years. I have been teaching Chemistry for about 12 years and am in my fourth year of using a flipped classroom. I have moved from a traditional flipped classroom to a mastery learning classroom in just the last two years...it's constantly a work in progress.

Biology Teacher, Waverly Shell Rock High School
2016-17 will be my 26th year as a secondary science teacher. I'm a '91 Wartburg College grad. I completed a Masters in '08 through University of Wisconsin Stout's online program and it has influenced my teaching profoundly! Since then, I have been focused on Blended Learning and have enjoyed showing others how to teach with a Blended format throughout Iowa. Let's learn together!
